Heather & Chris mail out their invitations on time...

Heather and Chris came to me with a design they liked on a popular discount website. They liked the look of it but wanted me to put my twist on it.
They went with 5x5 Envelopments Signature Side Pocketfolds in metallic bronze. There is a layer of metallic envy paper and then another layer of the bronze under the invitation itself.
This couple needed an accommodation card, one for directions, and then an RSVP postcard.
They wanted to use the same bronze for the envelopes so we created a return address label that would enable them to write on that with a brown pen (my advice is to get a fine point Sharpie from your favorite office supply store. They come in EVERY color now.) Lastly the invitation was finished off with a 2 inch wide wrap with their logo.

Why do some wedding invitations have tissue in between them?

This practice dates back to a time with a much different printing process. Ink is different than it used to be so a common practice was to put a layer of tissue over your printed area in order to avoid smudging on another part of your invitation.

These days inks dry fast and don't smudge so the tissue is no longer necessary. Some people prefer tissue in their wedding invitation to keep with a traditional feel.

Its completely up to you!
